Now’s a good time to finish up any projects you’ve been delaying and handle some of those little tasks you’ve meant to get done. Mercury retrogrades on April 9, and people often experience things they consider bad during the time this situation is in place.

Have you heard of Mercury retrograde? Would you like to learn more about it? Are you curious how this situation impacts our lives and how you can get the most out of the coming weeks? Keep reading.

If you’re only interested in a short explanation, just remember this: Mercury will be in retrograde from April 9 to May 3, 2017. While you can’t simply stop your life and wait for it to pass, it makes sense to have backup plans during this time. Expect to encounter some angry people and be involved in some miscommunications. In other words, be careful about everything you do during this time.

Rather than starting new projects during this time or getting involved in situations where you might be misunderstood or get in conflict, use these weeks to take stock of where you focus your life. Forget about the things that aren’t important. When the period ends on May 3, be ready to move forward with your focus on what matters.

Understanding A Mercury Retrograde

If you don’t know much about astrology, all this talk about Mercury may be leaving you out in the dark. During Mercury retrograde, the planet seems to move backward through the zodiac – a sort of belt through the heavens that contains the paths of the sun, moon and planets. Since astrology places Mercury in charge of communication, contracts, travel, cars and things like that, this strange occurrence for the planet means strange things can happen in many different aspects of your life.

To make the most of life during a Mercury retrograde, stay as flexible as possible, allow extra time for travel and try not to get involved in any situations where you’ll have to sign a contract or make decisions that will have a long-lasting impact. It’s a great time to reflect on what you should do in many areas of your life, but you shouldn’t make any final decisions until after May 3.

Expect to see bizarre and strange things happen related to communication, commerce, technology and travel – not just for you but on a worldwide level.

Surviving Mercury Retrograde

Please understand that a Mercury retrograde isn’t a rare situation at all. In fact, it will happen again in 2017 from August 13 to September 5 and from December 3 to December 23. It happens frequently enough that you can’t just stop your life and wait it out. But the best advice may be to lay low during this time.

While you’re waiting out the Mercury retrograde, it’s an excellent time to make plans for the future. If you feel muddled, disconnected, unclear or confused, know these two things: First, it happens to everyone. And second, I can help you as you define a clearer path.

While it’s okay to feel out of sorts and out of sync sometimes, you don’t want to live your life that way. Use the coming weeks to make fresh new plans, and then implement them confidently after May 3. I’m here if you need help reaching clarity.
